
About the ICIM
The International Conference on Inorganic Membranes (ICIM) is a biennial event created in Montpellier, France in 1989 by Prof. Louis COT (Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie de Montpellier- ENSCM) and Dr. Jean CHARPIN (Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique- CEA). Prof. Anthonie J. BURGGRAAF also strongly contributed to the construction of the 2nd edition of the ICIM and to the development of Inorganic Membranes worldwide.
In addition to Montpellier (1989, 1991, 2000), the ICIM has successfully taken place in several other locations across the globe: in Europe (Lillehammer – 2006, Enschede – 2012, Dresden – 2018), North America (Worcester – 1994, Gatlinburg – 1996, Cincinnati – 2004, Washington – 2010, Atlanta – 2016), Asia (Nagoya – 1998, Dalian – 2002, Tokyo – 2008, Taipei – 2022), Oceania (Brisbane – 2014), and South America (Florianópolis – 2024).
